The new Innova ITM5900 inversion table costs about $50-$75 more than standard inversion tables. However, it has lots of cool features that make it worth taking a look at. Let’s take a look:
Innova ITM5900 Review:
1. Inversion Table Has Heat, Massage + Better Lumbar Support
First of all, we can’t overlook the heat and massage backrest with lumbar support. In fact, this contoured back and vertical massage pad has one of the most supportive designs I have seen for under $200.
Note: In other words, if you want extra cushioning and support in addition to inversion therapy, you will probably love this device.
You can adjust the heat and vibration intensity manually if you want. The controller also includes an “auto” setting that changes the massage intensity for you automatically.
Downside: The heat and massage pad only covers the length of the back. It does not extend up to the neck area. Therefore, the backrest may work better for people who suffer from mid or lower back pain rather than neck pain.
2. It’s Really Easy to Get On and Off this Inversion Table
Second, the Innova ITM5900 features what they call the “True Balance System”. Essentially, you can figure out your center of gravity faster and more easily.
Just move the adjustable headrest and height adjustment tube to where you can automatically recline upside down and return to the upright position.
With other standard tables, this can sometimes take some time to figure out. Then, you end up pulling yourself up by the handlebars. The True Balance System makes the process much easier.
3. The Ankle Cuffs are Extra Comfortable on Your Feet
Third, the ankle support includes an extended handlebar, which makes it easier to get in and out of the ankle cuffs.
Plus, you can adjust the size of the cuffs quickly. (VS other machines which take longer and have a very short handlebar).
In addition, the ergonomically-designed cuffs minimize pressure on the ankles while you hang upside down.
Several years ago, I bought a very basic inversion table, and the uncomfortable pressure on my ankles was usually what shortened my inversion sessions.
4. Inversion Angle Adjustment Takes 1 Second
Fourth, the Innova ITM5900 has an advanced 6-angle pin system when enables you to quickly set your desired inversion angle. Most basic tables have adjustable straps which take more time to use.
Therefore, if you change your hanging angle frequently, this feature provides a convenient time-saver.
How to Use the Innova ITM5900 Inversion Table:
I didn’t find a user instruction manual to download online. However, the video below does a great job of demonstration how the device works.

Note: You can fold this inversion table for storing in a closet or against a wall. However, like most tables, it does not fold entirely flat due to the handlebars. Therefore, unless you have an extra-elevated mattress, you probably can’t store it underneath your bed.
Also, keep in mind that the Innova ITM5900 requires electric power for the heat and massage features. Therefore, you need an electrical outlet nearby in order to use these therapeutic features.
By the way, you can compare the ITM5900 to their previous version, the Innova ITM4800 Heat & Massage Inversion Table. It’s easy to see how the contoured backrest and ankle cuff system have been significantly upgraded.
